In addition to the stuff needed for a proper turkey dinner, I also picked up a few other items like:
- pastured eggs (I wish we had these at Canadian supermarkets!)
- sardines (so much cheaper than here)
- raw sauerkraut (beet and kimchi flvaours)
- coconut aminos (for the rare time I need to sub soy sauce)
- butter (Kerrygold and Organic Valley, plus Vermont Creamery)
- cheese (brie, camembert, and Truffle Tremor Goat cheese)
- hard cider: 3 types of Crispin plus another type (forgot to include in picture)
- a sheep’s milk yogurt
- a few dark chocolate bars
- organic avocados (5 for $5 !?)
- Vermont Creamery Vanilla Crème Fraiche
- Vermont Creamery Quark
- Hail Merry Macaroons (I had heard so much about these online)
- Hail Merry Chocolate Tart (made with almond flour)
- 100% Italian extra virgin organic olive oil (slightly cheaper than here)
Honestly, shopping at that American Whole Foods was one of the highlights of my trip to Portland :P And all the other Portland stuff rocked. What can I say, we’re a little deprived up here in Canada ;)
