I like hearing about celebrities going paleo or gluten-free – they have the ability to greatly spread awareness. I’ve already mentioned paleo Eva La Rue and gluten-free Novak Djokovic. There are now a few others on my radar. Jessica Biel and Mrs. USA 2011 Shannon Ford are the only ones on this list who are actually paleo. A few others have cut out wheat, sugar, dairy, or a combination of the three: Miley Cyrus, Zooey Deschanel, and Kim Kardashian. Interesting, I just realized that these are all ladies! So much for the caveman stereotype…
Jessica Biel: Paleo
Jessica Biel is known for being very fit and toned, so I doubt she’s gone paleo and is doing CrossFit just for her upcoming nuptials to Justin Timberlake.
What a great way for Mrs. USA 2011 Shannon Ford to help create change in people’s lives:
“After a 2009 diagnosis of Celiac disease, Shannon first went gluten-free, and then grain-free and has recently embraced a Paleo diet. And this year, as part of her responsibilities as Mrs. USA 2011, she is taking advantage of every opportunity to build awareness not only about Celiac, but positive steps to treat it.”

Miley Cyrus: Gluten and lactose-free
Health experts are annoyed with Miley Cyrus’ recommendation that everyone should try cutting out gluten. Of course they are.
For everyone calling me anorexic I have a gluten and lactose allergy. It’s not about weight it’s about health. Gluten is crapppp anyway!” she tweeted Sunday.
Later that day she added, “everyone should try no gluten for a week! The change in your skin, physical and mental health is amazing! U won’t go back!”
Zooey Deschanel (New Girl): Sensitive to dairy, eggs, and wheat
I liked Zooey Deschanel in 500 Days of Summer, and now watch her on the New Girl. Five years ago, Zooey took a blood test and discovered that she couldn’t eat dairy, eggs or wheat. She went vegan for 6 months, but no longer is.
Kim Kardashian: Gluten, sugar, and dairy-free
Kim Kardashian’s eating healthier as a diet regimen, but still – I’d rather hear of people cutting wheat than just focusing solely on calories.
The 31-year-old revealed to Us Weekly that she’s already lost 6 pounds in just seven days, with twice daily workouts and a whole new diet. “No more sitting at home, eating too much,” she told the magazine, adding that she has cut out gluten, sugar and dairy for now.
What celebrities am I missing – especially paleo ones?
