Primal Eats Vancouver: Nu Greek, Robson

April 11, 2012

Nu Greek is a mini Greek empire. There’s the 2 Nu Greek locations (Robson and Broadway), plus a food truck. These are all owned by the Kambolis Restaurant Group, as are: C Restaurant, Raincity Grill, and Nu Restaurant.

I checked out Nu Greek on Robson, which is a tiny space with a great location. I was happy right away to spot the “No Wheat Combo” on the menu. Happier still that it was $8.50 including a bottled water.

No Wheat Combo: 2 souvlaki skewers with Greek salad, chickpea & mint salad & a bottled water.

I skipped the chickpea salad and got the lamb skewers. It was just okay. I wish there was more meat, and that it was more tender and flavorful. The salad was the best part – lotsa stuff in it. I was hoping to be impressed, which I was not. But I still think it’s a good take-out option – well-priced, with quality ingredients.
