Do you ever peek into other people’s shopping carts, or gawk at their purchases at the check-out? Do you then try to figure out what kind of diet, if any, they’re on? Followed perhaps by a quick glance at the shopper to evaluate the success of that diet?
Somehow I doubt I’m the only one… In which case, you might find my weekly shopping loot interesting.
Even more nosy? ;) Here are the details:
- Organic 88% Dark Chocolate (Endangered Species)
- Organic Lives Chocolate Macaroons
- Classic roast chicken (natural)
- organic celery
- Bubbies Sauerkraut
- Organic radishes
- Organic jumbo eggs
- Organic almond butter
- Organic green onion
- Organic broccoli
- Organic avocados
- Organic onions
- Organic dark maple syrup
- Organic carrots
- Organic lime
- Organic garlic
- Organic green cabbage
- Kiwis
These groceries were bought at Whole Foods and will feed two people for dinner and one for lunch and breakfast for most of the week. Not shown: leg of goat previously purchased at Organic World. It’s currently being roasted and my place smells amazing :) Also not shown are sausages previously bought from Oyama. And of course you’ll notice the chocolate and chocolate macaroons – excited to be able to have “treats” again, but hoping to keep it under control (i.e. as “treats” and not “snacks”).

Love the Bubbies…
Yah, me too.. dang expensive though!
Goat? What does it taste like? I love different things like that :)
It’s very tasty.. sort of like a less distinctly flavored lamb.. it’s the most commonly eaten meat in the world (everywhere except here)
